How to use the Photo Gallery

Hey Everybody,

You may or may not have noticed that I updated the photo gallery. I uploaded all the pictures from the old site, some personal pictures and pedaler845 uploaded a bunch. If you want to upload your pictures, here is how...

- The Photo Gallery uses the same username/password as the forums. So if you haven't already signed up for the forums (come on, don't be shy!), do that first. You can use this link - http://www.fatsinthecats.com/forums/profile.php?mode=register

- Click the "Photo Gallery" link at the top of the page

- If you are already logged in, you will see your username near the top. If you aren't logged in, you will see a "Login" link.

- After logging in, click the "Create/Order My Albums" button near the top of the page

- Click "New", Enter a name, click "Apply Modifications"

- Click "Upload File' near the top of the page. Click the "Browse" button to select files one by one on your computer and then click "Continue"

- The next page will prompt you to select the album in which you would like to upload your pictures. Select the album, click "Continue" and you are done!

Yup, pretty easy.
I'm going to figure out how to post full size pics though, seems to require a "Photobucket" type host.

I just modified the photo gallery so it is easy to link to the full size image. When viewing images in the photo gallery, it automatically resizes them to the same size. But you can also view the full size image or post them in the forums. Here is an example using one of my photos...

Go to that page in the photo gallery, scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will find the "File Information" section. You will see some info (File Size, Date added, Dimensions, etc). One of the items will be the link to the full size image, in this case (http://www.fatsinthecats.com/photos/albums/userpics/10003/IMG_1052.jpg). Right now it doesn't have a name, but I'll figure out how to do that later.

To link to that image in the forums or elsewhere, just copy that link and use the "Img" button. It should end up looking like this... (just make sure there aren't any spaces or new lines between the link and the [img] [/img] tags)
