EZ Rider Group Rides

EZ Riders / New Riders

What’s the EZ Riders / New Riders  all about? Maybe your new to riding, have lots of questions, and want to join a group that rides at a fun casual pace with stops for learning along the way. Maybe your an experienced rider looking to mix up your ride schedule and want to help out newer riders learn the sport and local trails. Sometimes, injuries happen and you need to ride easier while you rehab.  Maybe you just want to ride FOR FUN! (and who doesn’t!)

EZ-Riders

The EZ rider rides are a little more challenging, can head toward the more technical trails and last a little longer then the New Rider ones. So no matter what your pace is you will fit in!! There is no set schedule for these rides but the weekends are the most comon time and with the wide variety of trails in the area, the best idea is to check the forum. Don’t be shy, get on and say Hi! Click here to see the forum on this.

New riders:

Your eager to find out more about this wonderful sport, but as with anything new sometimes its hard to find the right information or just plain old help!

Thats where the Fats in the Cats comes in!

Everyone in the Fats club was just like you, a new rider and we had the same questions as you. Some of us just went ahead and learned our lessons the hard way but we all found that joining the club always helped in learning this simple, yet sometimes complex sport. So we created this new riders page to help answer a few of the questions we all had when we first started out.

New Riders Schedule:

The rides are on a floating rotation on Tuesday nights, each week an alternating location choosen.

1st Tues of the month Ferncliff
2nd Tues of the month 909
3rd Tues of the month Lippman park
4th Tues group choice!!

Can someone guide me so I don’t get lost?
Yup! Join the EZ-riders nearest to you or post up on the forum your interest in a guided ride, lots of riders out there who can help. Check out the “Group Rides” forum here.

Where do I fix or upgrade my bike?
Your Local Bike Shop (or “LBS” in bike lingo) is the best place to go! Their local knowledge is invaluable to help you selecting the right ride for you.  The Fats in the Cats club works with a few of these shops to offer Fats Members special discounts. Join now, then head over to the Trails and Bike shops page to see which of the shops offer Fats members these specials.
