|
|
A small group ride leaves from the Tyrell lot each Tuesday @ 5:30. Its an intermediate pace and we usually go 2 to 2.5 hrs with just a few stops.
If trail conditions are uncertain...please post and we'll try to work out a consensus go or no.
All are welcome.
"Intermediate pace" means most riders have a fitness level resulting from getting out 2-3 times a week running, biking, etc. All riders should be self supported with spare tube, tools, helmet, etc. If youre unfamiliar with the Taconic-Hereford "909" please print out a map and bring it along.
If youre a "newbie" there are many riders here to help with riding advice, etc. Please post or pm to arrange in advance and we'll set a ride or something up.
If youre looking for a more advanced or longer ride, we can set that up too. We'll be night riding, and snowshoeing as conditions allow...

The normal ride length goes past dark now. Bring lights if youve got them. _________________ Pedal, b*tches!! |

Hi,
Just checking that the weekly ride is still on at 5:30? Can't say for sure, but might be able to be there this week. Hope to see you all soon,

Hey bill--I'll be there at 4, then regroup at 530. Jim may be there early as well. I'd like to hear your VT story... _________________ If I can bicycle, I bicycle.

Hey Jamie and Jim,
Unfortunately, I can't be there at 4:00, but do still hope to be there by 5:30. See you then,

speaking of leaves I have a noob question about that. over the past month I have noticed lots of leaves on trails like Beaver and the Gut Loop trail. Do the trails tend to just get cleared themselves from riders or are there trail work days when we are encouraged to come out to blow or rake? |

Leaves should be left on the trail- they will be mulched in soon enough.
DEC frowns upon raking or leafblowing the trails -lets keep them happy. _________________ Pedal, b*tches!! |
