Doing a ride at 909 on November 12th . Meet at the Tyrell Road parking lot at 9:15. Get on the trails by 9:30. Of course, weather permitting. As usual at 909, be ready for some climbing Very Happy

I'm thinking of heading out to the 909 on Sat. with a group of people who (for the most part) haven't been there. Any chance of meeting up? The only problem is that a couple of us live in Ulster and Orange county, so I'm not sure about a 9:30 start time. How many people do you usually ride with?

We are heading there the 12th, which is the Sunday, not Saturday. Not morning people, huh? Very Happy A few of us are coming from the Kingston area.... Our Sunday rides usually draw between 6 and 12 people. The last couple Sunday rides at Onteora Lake drew 8 people. Of course there have been times when we did group rides at Blue and Round Top where weve had over 20. I'm not 100% sure, but I think this is the last weekend before deer season starts (someone correct me if Im wrong) so we may have a pretty decent size turnout

Gun season is from November 18 to December 10th.

How far is 909 from Kingston? I may venture there for this.

Ive only seen 3 hunters so far this year, 1 was talking on his cell phone and didnt even see me coming.

This time of year its just locals. Orange is good.
11/18 until 12/10, forget about it.

There is abit of climbing at 909.........the rewards though is definitely worth it because there is alot of single track. Some of it is twisty technical stuff and other parts roll real quick. Pace wise......just because of the climbing at 909 id consider it intermediate. We usually are out there for a couple hours.........but the good thing with 909, you are never really that far away from a fireroad that would bring you back to the cars.

Conditions are muddy now, with wet in the forecast may need to cancel. Stay tuned.

Coming from the South, take the Taconic North......you will pass the exit for Rt55. Stay on the Taconic and start looking for Tyrell Road. Take a right onto Tyrell Road, go a mile or so to the end where you will see a dirt parking lot that holds 5 or so cars. We meet there. If you miss Tyrell Road and reach the exit for Rt 44 on the Taconic, you went to far..........

Like you mentioned, the weather does look bad.........I wont be there if its raining

Same here, the forecast wasn't good, didn't want to drive up only to be rained out.
Did anyone ride?
