Hi.

My name is Steve I 'm new to Kingston and live in the Rondout. I found Hasbrook Park and was wondering what the deal is with it. I did a ride on some of the trails already there.
Can the trails be maintained, built and most importantly are mountain bikes allowed. I think this could be a fun spot close to home with plenty of room to grow.
I was planning to call the parks department and ask.

Thanks
Steve

Hey Steve, I am currently living just down the street from Hasbrouck Park. It is part of an awesome urban ride that connects old quarrys, woods sections, cemeteries, the 'hood', an island, the famed trellis and other surprises. There are things that people who have lived here their whole lives have never seen, all it takes is a bike. If my work schedule jives with yours I'll show you.

Of course bikes are allowed. I would not call the parks office. We are reasonable people right? Just trim, rake, and enjoy Smile

Leotio,

That would be great. I'm in Kingston mostly on the weekend and during the work week Mon-Fri in NYC. Right now I'm on vacation till October 1st.
Here's my e-mail [email protected] let's ride.
I may attend the IMBA mixer party at Peter's house tonight.

Later
