I went to ringwood yesterday for the first time. With little to no info I parked on skyline drive and picked the cannonball trail to ride. Even though I saw tire tracks I figured out it probably wasn't a bike legal trail. Where are the best trails to ride there, and where to park? Am I assuming correctly that the bike trails are on the north end around shepherd's lake?

Thanks. I went last sunday and followed some singletrack following a map I found on the Trailforks website. I started at shepherds lake and the old race trail, got about 3 hours in. There's lots more in there, can't wait to go back😁

Sorry to have not crossed paths, I was there then too. There's a loop I like a lot from Skyline drive, parking at the top of the hill after passing the Ramapo lot. As far as hiking/biking, its actually a great thing there how the Trail Conference & JORBA coexist.
There's a ton of stellar riding in that area @ Waywayanda, Sterling Forest and a few others
The skyline view is on Pearsons Ridge. It's like Fongs way x3 back to the lot.
