Join club members on Monday June 25h at 5:30 pm to maintain the trails we ride on Jockey Hill. This is a good time for everyone to give something back to the popular trail system that so many of us ride. Meet at the usual parking spot at the top of Jockey Hill Rd. We anticipate doing some work on Close to the Edge, and Kneecap, as well as some pruning. Got clippers or pruning saw??? Bring them. Thanks and hope to see a good turnout.

I can't make the clean up, but I have had good luck with this saw for this type of work:

It's the largest (14") blade I could find that would fit in a hydropack.

I'll do my best to be there but, I have major vehicle trouble right now so, I can't be sure.

Looking forward to it...a few trails are in desperate need of some eye-level trimming...

Just a little bumpy bump for the trail love day. Yes G60, definitely bring your bike. I would guess that we would be taking out the rickety bridge on Close to the Edge as well as pruning and trimming anywhere we can.

The more clippers and pruners the better! I'm tired of closing my eyes to get through the branches.Cool

After Saturday's ride, a trail that needs ALOT of pruning is Scott's trail

Thanks to everyone who participated in the trail work on Jockey Hill this evening. After working together on Close to the Edge, we split up into smaller groups to prune and clip many of the trails. Many will miss the rickety bridge on Close to the Edge, now gone, but now hone those skills on the horseshoe around that ravine. Trails that were pruned and trimmed include Close to the Edge, Scott's, Bear, Straight Shot, Mushroom, Bear, and the Wintergreen Loop.

Please don't forget to give a big THANKS to Raybag, Bill B., Craig F., Greg L., Don B., Tim K., Suzanne, and Joe M. for giving the trails some love and care tonight in order to make your riding experience more pleasurable.
