There's bike access trouble @ Ninham again.... Its an evolving story, but be wary of riding on DEP lands, which are about half the property. Trail markings/warnings may be vague, but enforcement may be in effect anyway.
The mountain side is probably a safer bet.

I started riding there in the late 90's on a xc race hardtail. I miss a lot of the old trails in there, and they may have crossed onto private property, but their environmental impact was negligable. Now I get there occasionally, I find the "new" signage (if there is any) and off limits areas very vague. I frequently have to turn around when I hit a "dead end", and having to do this repeatedly it gets frustrating. I'm beginning to get a feel for where these areas are and avoid them, although I know there may still be a legal trail in there somewhere. If they want to enforce these areas I think they need to post better and more consistent signage to alleviate a lot of the confusion.

Was that you on the fat Rocky Mt yesterday?

I was surprised to see no warning info in the kiosk. Maybe the DEC & DEP dont coordinate like that.
