Ferncliff Improvements

First of all, the Ferncliff Forest BOD would like to thank you, Fats members, for the very generous donation to our trail and pond restoration fund.

A small group of us has been working in Ferncliff Forest this year adding some new trails, marking trails and creating a new map. So if you haven't ridden Ferncliff in a while come check it out. Its a great place to ride during hunting season.

Here is a link to the map thats still in progress. All trails in color are newly marked.

We will be working on another new trail this Saturday. Meet in the lot at 9:30 or look for us in the woods just up hill from the pond after that.

I was embarrassed and extreeeeemly pleased to show up at Ferncliff with my nephew and his friend for a crank on the trails only to discover it was a joint Fats trail build day. We did our joy ride, showing my crew Ferncliff for the first time and then ride some brand new singletrack. The crew working did a superior job and was is great to see our prez and Crissy out there helping. My personal crew did a little work, lifting some big deadfalls off another part of the trails due to the crazy wind the night before. As previously stated on this tread, check out the new stuff at ferncliff.....and thanks to all the volunteers that were out there from other organizations also.
