If you are concerned about the safety, or lack thereof, for riding on the road, the Dutchess DOT has been putting together planning meetings for the future infrastructure.
Link to the calendar for meetings:

I requested to set up a meeting with DOT after 6pm, when most working people are able to attend. We should be involved. NYS is #29 for infrastructure and awareness. This is not good, and perhaps one of the reasons cyclists continue to get hit by cars.
Complacency kills. We need to change things in NYS to ensure our safety and to keep us able to road ride recreationally without getting hit by cars. |
