In. I have an e-mail inquiry out to the Rock Tavern Sno Riders about when it was last groomed....still waiting for a response. When I was there on Tuesday it hadn't been groomed from Sunday's snow and it was a total grind. I imagine they will want to have it groomed for the weekend...I'll post if I get a response.
A call to darkhorse might be in order as well! |

From rock tavern sno riders: "We will be out today grooming. I don't know if anybody during the week has been out grooming, I was away upstate. This will probable be the last week/weekend we groom. This is the time of year that our lite grooming equipment can get rid of some of the frozen hard bumps, but we try our best. You can always check on the Rock Tavern Snow riders website for grooming updates." |

DH wont know until tonight.
Studded tires seem to be best bet.

Hey Tim, Evan from the WMBA. Do you really think studs are required? I've got a set (and a fatty as well) but some others who I may join (if you would have us) with may not have studs. Do tell.... |

Let's see what the recon mission brings back. That lot on Ridge Road, is it just South of 87? I don't know the area at all. |

There are many sno-mos out and I saw the groomer as well.
Schofield and orchard not groomed-I rode schofield on xc ski tracks and it took me an hour. Windsor from Ride Rd was highlight. Roads are hardpacked.
I had non aggressive fat bike tires. Should be pretty firm in a.m.-Fatbikes will be fine, I imagine skinny will have some rideable/hike times...however I have very limited winter riding so my assessment may suck. Not sure if studs are needed...I didn't see ice. _________________ If I can bicycle, I bicycle.

Sounds like a 10% likely need for studs from a mix of sources... We will know immediately with the Schofield trail right there -it may even be ride-on crusty, first thing. _________________ Pedal, b*tches!! |

Will you guys be Fat? I will but Pete would not. He may not want to join if he's the only Fatless rider. |

Nice ride would of liked to join you guys.
I went to Round Top this morning. Conditions were good got a little tough going towards the tail end of the loop but overall it was all good and fun. Rode 9.1 miles.

No ice, but Fat tires had a def advantage. Schofield was much harder to pedal today.
Good to join Westchester pedalers on the tundra.
