930 am advanced ride

Park @ Hardenburgh Lot in Palenville-this is the DEC lot at the bottom of the paved road climb up to the falls.

Trail up to North/south lake, around the park to the new railtrail, then paved to Colgate Lake, connector trail to Roundtop, maybe some Roundtop singletrack, lastly paved back to DEC Lot.

Guessing at least 40 miles-Colgate to Roundtop unknown territory...I hear it's doable.

Hoping this will be a connector for a multi catskill bikepack.

Too much? Join for the North South Lake ride then bail...

Dang that was tough! 38mi, 4300 ft elevation. and close to 7 hrs of riding. Trails were amazing with drought conditions-I imagine most trails ridden are usually wet and could suck. Mystery connector from Colgate lake to Round Top was primo catskill riding. Starts with a 4 mi sorta climby section that has much tech. Plateau into Dutcher Notch, then 2.5 miles down...this is the bike corridor section. Old washed out trail has been replaced by nice "pucker inducing" rocky decent.

Paved sections totaled less than 20 mi...more like 15, but they were welcomed.
