Dear Volunteers,
This Saturday we plan to meet at the Ridge Road parking lot between 08:30 and 09:00.
Our primary purpose is to use up as much of the donated stone piled at Beaver Pond as we can by: 1) Topping off the Beaver Pond paths we made during our last two work days; 2) Constructing on/off ramps to the BB Bridge located at the junction of Barron Rd and Big Trees; and 3) Construct a path of stone and crushed stone through the mud wallow at the north end of Muskrat where it approaches New Road.
Our tools will be waiting for us at Beaver Pond and hopefully we'll have use of more than one pick-up truck to haul stone to the areas noted in 2 and 3 above.
Plan on working to noon or shortly thereafter which should provide ample time for pleasure riding in the afternoon. The clearing of trails for race day is going well and many thank you's to those who have been clipping race trail overgrowth.
See you on Saturday.
PS Don't forget about the fund raising tour scheduled for Sunday, July 20th (the Sloppy Joe Ride).
PPS Don't forget your bug spray and keep your exposures covered since poison ivy is rampant. |
