The 9th Annual Tour de Kingston & Ulster Sunday June 22nd

The rail trail ride will begin from Forsyth Nature Center in uptown KIngston. Participants will leave the center and get onto the Hurley Rail Trail heading South from Kingston. The Hurley/Marbletown/O&W trail and the Wallkill trail are two beautiful trails with many nice spots to see along it's route.
Come out for a great cause , meet new friends and go for a fun bike ride!

See everyone Sunday June 22nd!!

There will be four distances available depending on ability.

The 10 mile out and back will include road and the paved portion of the Hurley Rail Trail.

The 15 mile out and will start from the beginning of the Hurley Trail in Uptown Kingston heading South and will be dirt then pavement and dirt again.

The 17 mile ride will start with the Hurley Trail heading South then via a short road ride connecting to Wallkill Trail for the return to KIngston. There is a option to check out the Rosendale Trestle.

The 28 mile will start with the Hurley Trail south and continue for a ways past High Falls then getting onto the road for roughly 8 miles to connect to the Wallkill Trail North back to Kingston. The road connecter will have a few hills the last one to the Wallkill Trail is a mile long at a moderate grade. This ride will go over the Rosendale Trestle from the South end.

The 28 miler will continue South on the Hurly/Marbletown/O&W past High Falls then jumping on the road at Rest Plaus rd.. The last leg of the road ride will be Mountain Road(just over a mile climb) cresting at the Southern end of the Rosendale Trestle and the Wallkill Trail which we will ride over and continue North back to Kingston. Passing through Williams Lake and the ice caves cold air blast.

Not sure I'd call climbing Mountain Rd in that direction a moderate hill. But it is paved, and fairly short, so in that sense it's easy, especially if done on a mountain bike Smile

I'll come along for the long one, it mostly follows my bike commute to work and back.

Do we start at 10am? The TourDe Ulster website calls this the Road and Rail option I guess.
