Trail workers - You got an award!

Listen up Fats! We have been granted a true honor from Scenic Hudson. They have selected our bike club to receive the 'Hudson Hero' award for our trail building efforts at Shaupeneak and Illinois Mtn.

This honor came from all the hard work of the people that build and maintain trails on Scenic Hudson property, and elsewhere. So thanks to everyone that has helped out over the years. Your efforts are being recognized.

You are invited to the awards ceremony on Monday Jan. 21st at 9 AM at Esopus Meadows Preserve in Ulster Park.

Scenic Hudson will supply breakfast pastry’s, coffee, hot chocolate and juice from 9 – 10 am. They will recognize the club around 10 am, just as the public arrives for their "Winter Fun Day" event. The recognition should only take a few minutes and they would like to get a few pictures with all the club members that can make it.

If we happen to have snow, Scenic Hudson will have a bunch of Tubbs Snowshoes and Hammerhead Sleds free to demo.

Come on out!

And snowshoe and sled demos. Any snow bikers want to come out and demo their fat tired steeds?

Check it out y'all! The bike club got an award from one of the premier environmental groups in this country! Big thanks to Scenic Hudson for being so awesome and allowing bikes and new bike trails to be built. And thanks to all the club members (and others) that have helped make new trails at Illinois Mtn and Shaupeneak Ridge.

We hope more trails opportunities will come. Get involved ya bums! It pays off.

Jamie and Pete accepted the award on behalf of the bike club given by Steve Rosenburg, Exec Director of Scenic Hudson.

Some of the mountain bikers and Scenic Hudson staff that worked on the Illinois Mtn and Shaupneak Ridge trails at the awards presentation. Nice work everyone!
