I get home around 6 most of the time. If it's not raining I am going to head over tonight to split some planks to use. I'll be on super 8 near the power lines if you want to stop by!

I park in the upper lot back behind the old IBM building.
Pulled 4 pallets down to Mr. Bojangles, left 2 at the entrance, and there ate 2 scatterd in other places for some "other projects" of mine.
BTW...if anyone is interested I plan to build a few new things this Sunday starting around 11ish. I have 2 drops on Super 8 to build courtesy of our tree trimming frineds at the electric company. My goal is to rebuild that whole area into a nice flowy freeride spot! I want to put in a few berms, fix the gap jump (make is slightly shorter) and trail after the steep hill, repair the stuff up top and I have a killer log ride to build! The drops on Super 8 are my priority right now then we'll move onto the other stuff.
Anyone want to help!!

Nice stuff Tom. I'd like to see some more log rides and some more cool stunts, even if they aren't 6 feet off the ground. How late will you be working? Maybe we'll be able to stop by after a ride elsewhere and catch up with you. |

Cool, I'll see what I can dig up. I've got most of that stuff.
Maybe we should make a list of what everyone will bring. So
we don't have 8 shovels, and no rakes....etc.. _________________ Shut up and ride.! |

I've got a hammer, folding hand saw, 18V drill, bits and drivers, and I'll bring some beers. I think I'm able to borrow a chainsaw and probably other tools if we need them.
I plan to pick up some boxes of nails (guessing 2" or 3"...any experienced trail builders want to weigh in?) and a box of deck screws at home depot. |

We won't need a chainsaw.
I'll have a couple of big saws and everything else that I mentioned.
For nails I would go with anything between 2" and 3". Same for screws.

That's great that you're working on Super 8, Tom. I was sad to see it go initially, but now I see how much potential it has.
I'm looking forward to next week and esp. to fixing Bo Jangles so the trail has a flow again.
I'll ride over after work, so expect me around 5-5:10. |

Much approved!
Do you ride Vassar often? I think Rob and I ran into you last year in the parking lot if I remember correctly. |

Yep I met you last year. I live in Poughkeepsie again about a mile from Vassar. But I'm moving to Beacon towards the end of the summer... |

So I built the forst part of Project #1 on Super 8 tonight. Cleared the landing, the run it and laid the first rail. I plan to finish it this Sunday but I may get there tomorrow to finish it.

We hit Vassar today (4/22) around 4:30pm up to about 7pm. I took my friend to the Church trails , now that I know where they are & then we hit the super 8 & bojangles. We saw all of the pallets around & got excited, we thought someone was working on the trails. We were ready to do some work although no one was there & we had no tools . Next time you lan on working there just let me know we will help out. |

We'll be working on Wed. around 3 or 4ish. The game plan is to rework the bridge on Bojangles and to work on the log ride just past the bridge. I'd also like to look at the teeter and see if we can fix it.
For the bridge on Bojangles maybe we should grap some big new logs from the powerline piles. We'll see.
I'll be there tonight (Monday) to try and finish my bridge on Super 8 (only 2 logs to split into planks left!!).

Hey folks. Wednesday around 2 sound good? Working until question marks.
I think we should (at this point) rebuild the bridge on Bojangles (grab some big logs to cut for supports, some longer smaller logs for stringers, all from the powerline area) and then just work down the trail there to make Bojangles completely rideable.
If anyone has tools, we can surely use them. |

What kinds of tools should I bring? I have extra rakes, saws, sledgehammers, rock hammers, and I have 3 pairs of clippers. I will only bring enough for myself unless someone else asks because my garage is in a state of disarray at the moment and it is ... difficult to get things out without risking limbs But, I will if we need extra! |
