|
|
Looking to do some work at Vassar sometime the week of 4/23. I'll be down and bored during the days, so I figure I can do some work on the trails.
Looking to do during the day on maybe wednesday or around 4 on Thursday. Looking to fix the bridge on Bojangles, add a ramp to the end of the log ride on bojangles and fix some other stuff that's worth salvaging.
Anyone around on that wednesday during the day or Thursday afternoon? Chris, I'm looking at you, Mr. Gnome. |

I can hook you up with some heavy wood pallets (not the thin boards) if you want. I can't be there during the day but maybe after 6pm.

James and Tom:
Sounds good. At this point I'm thinking maybe wednesday (4/25?) afternoon into wednesday evening. Maybe start around 3 or so and see what we can do. If we can get the framing of some of that stuff done, it should be pretty easy and quick to nail the decking down. |

How would wednesday 4/25 sound to everyone? Start around 3:00 or so and work through until dark (unless anyone is available earlier in the day to start earlier).
There's a lot of stacked logs up on Super 8 that we can use for supports and stringers. |

8 Solid Pallets delivered. I'll be there around 6.
Another note...Super 8 is now super open. They did some serious clearing back there for the power lines. Everything seems to be pretty much in tact so thats good. It also opened up some new opportunities for fun play stuff!!

I am going to go tonight and bring them down towards Bo Jangles for storage so they don't get taken.

You can park in the upper lot behind the High School, I think
that would be the shortest trip in. It brings you right in
to Super 8. _________________ Shut up and ride.! |

How sure are you about this? I see quite a few police cars hanging around there sometimes.
I'm sure they would notice a group of cars parked there and it would be a major bummer to come back from working on the trails only to find our cars towed for being on private property. |

Usually the police are easy going about parking at spackenkill high, because a lot of people use the track. Not to say that you will be free from tow zones. |

I park in the upper lot back behind the old IBM building.
Pulled 4 pallets down to Mr. Bojangles, left 2 at the entrance, and there ate 2 scatterd in other places for some "other projects" of mine.
BTW...if anyone is interested I plan to build a few new things this Sunday starting around 11ish. I have 2 drops on Super 8 to build courtesy of our tree trimming frineds at the electric company. My goal is to rebuild that whole area into a nice flowy freeride spot! I want to put in a few berms, fix the gap jump (make is slightly shorter) and trail after the steep hill, repair the stuff up top and I have a killer log ride to build! The drops on Super 8 are my priority right now then we'll move onto the other stuff.
Anyone want to help!!

I'd really like some knowledge into building the
ramps, and log rides. _________________ Shut up and ride.! |
