Saturday, May 19, 2012 is our next trail work day – we plan to complete a re-route around the mud wallow near CG Bridge on ‘Windsor’ – coordinate G-H6 on the attached map.
We'll meet at the Rt 207 Weed Rd lot (coordinate I11 – eye11) prior to 9:30 to distribute name tags, order lunch, figure out carpool / bike to work site arrangements, etc. We’ll leave the parking lot at 9:30 and plan to finish work around 2:00 PM. I drive a green Subaru Forrester and will park somewhere in the middle of the lot.
We’ll park at the north end of ‘Windsor’ (coordinate G4-5) and schlep the tools in from there – feel free to ride your bike. Once at the site, there will be a short talk on safety, we’ll go over the work plan, divide into crews, distribute tools, and get to work.
Please bring the following personal equipment:
• Your favorite trail work tool
• Weather appropriate clothing
• Safety Glasses
• Work Gloves
• Sturdy Boots
• Water
*** SOS 2012 Work Day Calendar. We’ve schedule our work days on the 3rd Saturday of the month – unless there is a conflict. Our schedule for the rest of 2012 is: 6/23 – per DEC no events on 6/16, 7/21, 8/18, 9/15, 10/20, 11/10 – before Regular Deer Season.
Note: Summer dates are Mosquito and Deer Fly dependent.
