Parking at ridge road and plan on doing a few laps at a steady pace. _________________ If I can bicycle, I bicycle.

Course was in really good shape-a few mud puddles on Schofield, but really that was it. I enjoyed the new sections of lesser traveled trails. Long section of road in the prolog, but then only tiny bits during the course.
My legs felt bad going into the ride and didn't get better. I ran a 32 x 19 with a 29er. The gear worked for me-ok on flatter sections, could make most of the hills, and maintain speed in the tight stuff. 18t would obviously help...but I think I'd get beat up on the hills and have an overall tough time having not spent much time on my SS saddle recently. _________________ If I can bicycle, I bicycle.

A 22 sure is nice for climbing the steeps but not for maintaining any speed. I left it on since the bike was in winter 3/4-fat mode for the extra lbs. Rode with the 20 today, climbed almost as well but much faster, gonna man up and try the 18 over the summer. |
