When is the official start up for the Tuesday Night Ride up at Jockey Hill? How about a week from today? Very Happy I wanna ride............. For the newbies. We meet at 5:15, end of Jockey Hill Road in Sawkill. Minutes away from Kingston. We like to be on the trails by 5:30 sharp........ Still early in the season, but we would get a good 1 1/2 to 2 hours in of riding.

I think next week should be a fine time to start 'er up. I can't wait to get out there and see how many different directions I can get my winter fat to travel in. Confused Slow and steady, that's me.

From the looks of Kevin's video, I'd say he's carrying a term baby. I could deliver that for you Kevin.

Ol Raybag is feeling fat? Don't let that get in the way of some really fine riding. This weekend looks like a winner. Onteora on Sunday sounds great. Can anyone ride Saturday? Also, I plan to have a short conversation with a long Guiness at the Black Swan Friday night. Any takers???

Hey Huck, maybe I could be cajoled, coerced, or otherwise talked into joining you. What time will you be romancing the Tall Blonde in the Black Dress? If I am able to make it you'll be sure to recognize me. I'll be the one in the floral print mumu. Embarassed
G60Dude? How 'bout it??

I know that everyone is jonesin' to ride, but I have a concern about putting a lot of tires onto the Jockey Hill Trails (as well as other areas) until the trails are truly ready for a mass of riders, such as on a club ride which could attract 10-25 riders.

I would suggest that the area be scouted out first, especially the trails that would be ridden by a large contingent on a club ride, in order to determine that they are, in fact, ready. If someone checks them out on Sunday or Monday and gives the go ahead, the trails will be in optimal condition for the season. Remember that we are stewards of the Wild Forest and I would hate to see extensive trail damage. The DEC wouldn't like it either, I assume.

Thanks for the consideration.

dudes

I plan to claim my seat around 8 (maybe a skidge earlier) on Friday. Would love to have some hoodlums to drown my weeks worth of sorrows with.

For those of you from points askew, the Black Swan is in Downtown Tivoli, on the east side of the mighty Hudson, up 9G a piece. Shirt and shoes required,( pants optional).

A few of us rode at Jockey Hill today.............Other than the Quilty Trail, looking a bit wet, and Close to the Edge we didn't bother assuming that was soft, everything else was in great dry shape..........

Very Happy The cassette went first. Not really sure when it bent. I started having shifting issues, just thought the cable stretched until we stopped and looked and saw 2nd and 3rd chain rings were bent.......Then shortly after, was going along, rock kicked up, snapped my hanger......Im hoping thats my share of mechanical for the year Smile
