Central Adk region recreation webmap news for 2011

Please share this year's information with your group, thank you!

Last summer, Mohawk Valley GIS in partnership with the Central Adirondack Association, released the www.nyrecwebmap.com website, with 52 hiking and 31 mt. biking trails in the Town of Webb/Old Forge, Inlet, Long Lake and Indian Lake region of the Adirondack Park.

We have added several suggested canoeing and kayaking waterways to the webmap for this year, along with DEC boat launches, campsites and lean-tos. We've updated the look of the web map also.

Please take our brief mobile device survey, to let us know what you would like for a smartphone app, or for trails/waterways to download to a GPS receiver. It's on the homepage.

Suggestions are always welcome for improvements to the site. Thanks for spreading the word,
