A lot of property has changed hands in the Zena area of Sawkill Road, and these new owners do not want any one on the B trail. They have put up alot of new posted signs with explicit notification that no one should be entering them from any direction. I always thought that was known as the "Old Woodstock Road", and a right of way? Does that still hold true, or can they just shut the old road down?

Thanks for the heads up.

Is there a name on the posted signs?

DEC has people to solve problems and answer questions like this. Having a name written on the posted signs would give a good start to their research.

After some property changes a few years back, I thought only the few hundred yards between the Blue & Red intersection down (north?) to the next Red was the only legal Bee. Continuing to the Res has been privately owned for a dozen years+.

If the property boundaries are marked, NY uses yellow paint on trees & rock.

As Tim says, the property around the reservoir, excepting the City of Kingston, is all private.

But, property boundaries can be totally separate from a right of way, and thats where the DEC property division comes into play. They've been very helpful in the past. Until we hear though, just respect the signs and be pleasant if confronted Smile
