First time out to 909 this year and here is my plan of attack based on the trails people are recommending. I may be overly optimistic but here goes.

From TSPlot
Mustang to Mercury
Snowmobile and over to Fongs Way.
From here get to the gut via snowmobile.
Then hit getaway or pirate creek
then find my way to bykhed via cop.

Anything I should reconsider? is this a reasonable ride in 2 - 2.5h and will I have any trouble with logging?

That is a good loop.

Fongs Way is technical and might toss you around a bit , your first time back.

Before you head down to the Gut you can pick up Watchamacalit, which is a great trail.

If you do Getaway you will miss Pirate creek.
Doing the Outer Gut trail and Pirate Creek is a bit easier and may be more enjoyable for the first time back.

Also on the way back up Cop take a left onto camp trail, go over the hill to horseshoe, there is a cut thru on the lower side of horseshoe which will bring you to Bykhed.

Its the Dark Purple Line on the map.

Its a washed out tough climb that has been there forever.
It used to be a road that went straight thru to Downing road.
When you get to the top of the hill take a right onto Cop Trail.

Add the Burn trail, its on your way although it does take a little figuring out the 2 doubletracks-its got Blue tags as does Watchamacallit. Also, the route into Pond Gut is where the majority of logging is going on. Its blasted, but its likely they've left a path thats beaten down. All the Gut trails are considered advanced, like Fongs.

I rode that today with the rock being slightly damp and humid...it does seem to go on just a little further than you think it should.

Interesting fungus on Gut Loop.

Seems like there are a lot of mushrooms growing in these damp conditions.

Seriously Big Tree (actually it is a very tall rotten tree with no top or branches, it seems like a perfect owl nest highrise.)

great ride on Saturday, thanks for the quick tips. Everything went pretty well except for when I arrived at the logging area at the end of watchamacallit. I ended up on the Road and missed snowmobile to pond gut. Found my way to the staging area then back to TSP lot after BYK HED. Really enjoyed burn trail and watchamacallit. looking forward to getting back there and finding more I missed. here are some pics...
