It's sad to hear that another set of trails are in the risk of being lost. It just seems like it's a never ending battle with developers. Reading that thread though, not sure if its a sign of hope or a letter just to shut everyone up, but some people did get a response from the Office Of The County Executive stating that they can be assured that the County is not going to alienate parkland for this project. Hopefully the County sticks to their words.

Has anyone ridden here before? Maybe we should make a road trip there come spring

During a normal winter there's often stretches of weeks when the only riding here is indoor or road. Sprain Ridge Park is typically spared the heavier snows that amount from just a few miles northwards. So for a little over an hours drive, its back to riding fine trails. Its maybe half the trail miles of Blue, but pretty similiar terrain. Good stuff, easy access off the Taconic Parkway.
Pave the world.

Pedaler it is actually off the Sprain Brook Parkway.
The taconic ends around Hawthorne / Thornwood

It is a fun place to ride trails are well defined however not marked

you are never very far from the parking lot.

If it does go in only a section of it will be taken away.
However I have seen some news footage and all the officials
have stated they will not sacrifice parkland for this. The City
of Yonkers will just have to get over it.
