Is anyone riding out in the snow? If so, any tips on making it work well? I thought I would go for an adventure on Saturday afternoon with the goggles and all, but I could barely keep the bike upright.

Just looking for opinions (besides go snowboarding) on what may make this actually work.
Thanks,
-JP

i use same setup as other rides
maybe some tires with studs Idea
like using wtb wierwolfs 2.3

i found anything over 3 to 4 inches might as well be sking or snowshoeing
gets a little hard in the deeper stuff but sure gives you a workout Twisted Evil

What do you use for tire studs? Screws? I have never been much of a Winter rider, but I can't see stopping until March at this point.

Any direction on making quality studded tires would be great.

Studded tires are for ice and dont help much in snow.
For some great winter riding ideas, pics, etc. try the Alaska board @ MTBR.

Here's some good info on tires for winter riding. Big aggressive knobs for the fresh, loose, snow and studded tires for the ice and/or hard packed trails. The studded tires work especially well on hard packed snowmobile trails.

Maxxis Swamp Thing DH tires work great in the snow...they are like dirt bike tires!
