I've heard a lot about Ninham, but have yet to see any pics of the place. What's the riding like? How challenging is it (compared to other local trails)?

Sorry no pix..........But description wise its similar to Blue and Skidmore up in Saratoga. Many rolling drops where you need to lean way back. Ive only been to Blue once and but I feel Ninham is more technical than Blue. Even though, Id love to check out Blue again. Ninham has a couple decent climbs, but you can easily ride for the day there and miss them and only hit quick cardio bursts. With all the sheets of rock, I know others do it, but I would stay away from the place when its raining. I couldnt even imagine how slippery those rocks would be. Along with all the cross country trails, there are many "detours" where there are jump drop offs, logs to ride, etc. Even a couple logs that are right on the ground for us to practice on.

Thanks! Sounds like a really cool place to practice the skills. I've never been to Skidmore's trails, though I've been to the campus. Are they right on the campus? Similar to Vassar's proximity to trails?
