I missed the Lark in the Park ride unfortunately, but I have a very good reason (at least I think it is, some people might disagree). That weekend was a twice yearly event in PA that I attended for the first time.
This is what I do when not on a bike: http://public.fotki.com/pacavewolf/mar-fall-2008/ I'm in the yellow helmet #s 20082 and 20083
Maybe I can get some of you underground with me someday!

I'd be happy to organize a cave trip in the PM. There is a nice, relatively small cave in downtown Kingston that I often bring beginners to. Caveing is only expensive if you want all the best gear, like a $300 light. Otherwise it's dirt cheep. The best part of it is that it's good to do all year and it can be done at night.
There are even a couple mines in Kingston that I can do a tour of. However, I don't reccomend those be done regularly, especially in the fall and spring with the extreme temperature swings.
We could do a Tuesday cave in place of a ride.... I even have a few extra helmets for those who would like to give it a try.
Let's go caveing!

That looks very interesting. I actually wanted to set something up like what was in those photos. I'd be scared to death of being between two rocks that close together. I'd have to see how small a gap I could fit in before hand and thats likely how. _________________ That's MR! Hank to you! |
