Gordon and myself are exploring the Rt. 9 side of the park. We're parking @ the Hubbard Lodge entrance, probably 4ish hours. It can be moderately technical. If interested, call my cell (845/337~2810) as we expect to park @ 9:30, but may run a few minutes late.

we're interested, but won't be getting out of the house that early. haven't been before - i'm looking to pedal some good stuff for a few hours, and the spousal unit is looking to trail run around ten miles.

any suggestions on decent routes/spots to start from, not knowing the place? any decent map resources there or online?

edit: found some map stuff online. particular routes/directions to hit the good stuff, running and riding? how are things there with the marked/unmarked bikes/no bikes stuff?

thanks for any hints!

Sorry, Im not so good with names of reference points there. The best hint I can say is the AT (white blazes) is the trail to stay off of. Hikers and land mgr's are very sensitive about that one.
Generally then, there's lots to explore there from most trailheads. And getting really lost is possible, it is big.
