Tuesday
June 3
at 6:00 PM (Ride Start)...
If you want to see the Lundy Estate Trails that have been developed by local talent, post up for details...
JUMP OFF AT:
End of Cutler Road in Naponoch, NY
http://maps.yahoo.com/#mvt=m&lat=41.772464&lon=-74.290477&zoom=13&q1=12404-5816&q2=cutler%20road%2CNapanoch%2C%20NY
above is link for directions from my place...
change the start to yer' own and you'll have directions...
I have ridden there twice, and it is great singletrack territory with even greater potential...
if you live in the western part of Ulster County, you will definitely make this a part of your ride diet...
hope to see you there

Tom, it's the regions rattlesnake capital For real. Lundy Road in Wawarsing, just north of Ellenville.
It's close to work and sounds like fun. I've got to get my bike up and running again... |

Its referred to also as the VerNooykill Forest Area by the State...
It is in the Town of Wawarsing and is now State Land that is amenable to mountain bike use.
Several trails have been cut that connect old estate roads and the terrain variety on a ride here is great! Dense Pine Forest, Hemlock Glen, rolling rock single track, its amazing stuff, but I did get mud on my bike....
This link gives you the map location in Yahoo...

be sure to click the sattelite image ...
and don't worry, I'm working on a deal with the rattlesnakes, its a family thing! _________________ Grumpy is my happy place. |

Just a reminder that we will be riding Lundy tonight. Leaving the
Cutler Rd parking area at 6pm. You won't be disappointed.

Thanks to Steve et al!
Lundy has some great stuff going on in it, not to mention the beautiful Catskill forest types. The singletrack just flows, and the aroma of hay scented fern is in the air. If you can check it out, do so |
