To those familiar with Ferncliff...

Is it easy to navigate? I am thinking that I may head up there on Sunday and don't want to get lost. I have a decent sense of direction and can read maps.

With a map which Bill posted below, it's pretty easy to get around. No trails are marked though.

Definitely a much more fun place to ride when the conditions are dry Very Happy

What time were you thinking of heading over there Sunday? If the weather cooperates, I'd be happy to show you around. I'm free in the AM.

Missing some stuff...but fairly accurate. The black trail is all double-track and the roads are always pretty close. So even if you get lost, it is easy to find your way back....

Edit: I just noticed the parking lot isn't marked. It is right by the black trail and the words "MT RUTSEN" on the top/right of the map.

Weather doesn't look too promising for Sunday morning. Maybe we can plan something for a nice dry weekend.
Thank you very much for the offer to guide. Do you usually have Sunday mornings off? My Sunday's are wife-less so anytime of day would be good for me.

I agree. Unless we don't get any rain Saturday afternoon/evening into Sunday, Ferncliff won't be as much fun. We'll shoot for another weekend

I'm looking to ride somewhere Sunday in the AM as long as it't not raining during the ride. Still a bit chilly out there to get soaked in rain. Jockey Hill drains well, 909 drains well. Guess we just keep an eye on the weather

Jockey drains the best, there's alot more rock than dirt there to begin with.
@ 909 not all trails drain well. It helps to know which, or have a guide who does.
