I prerode the course today--Wow. I learned a lot about mountain biking. Doug, I will give you $20 if you make it up all those steep climbs on Sunday! You must have a witness. |

Are you kidding? At race pace he would be a stud to consistantly get up all of them with gears! I always clean "hurl hill" when i am just riding, but in a race I am usually too maxed already when I get to it. I am pre-reg'd and excited to ride the course. I just hope I can avoid the cramping that shut me down at ringwood last week. I will just enjoy the ride until I can't. |

Well.. Doug and I have a history of making impossible $20 bets with each other...
I bet Billy could ride it all. |

Nice job all. Wish I could have been there. Lucy said she wanted to race too. She said she would be my domestique (Drink all my water and get in everyone elses way). Those darn kids and "their" activities always getting in the way. _________________ Never under estimate the single speed.

Man, did it get hot&humid in those woods, I came so close to stopping to swim in the stream on my last lap!
Billy did a great job putting on the race, from breakfast food, to the really cool free t-shirt, to a well marked tough and fun course...good stuff!
jamesframes, any problem with me using your pics on the series site? _________________ http://www.nysmtbseries.com/ |

Love that event, but it was hard work. I think I did as much hike-a-bike on the far side of the stream as I did riding. |

Great course and yes, the elements made for a rough go of it but still had a good time out there!
Nice job everyone and can't wait to see some pics from the stream crossings.... |

There's a great shot of a rider jumping that log in the Windham Mt shop, from a few years ago. _________________ Pedal, b*tches!! |
