last I heard, its suppose to be similar to the 6 hour course (which was a really fun course) but a mile or so shorter. Expect a long climb at the start, lots of rocks, fun singletrack, and dont be suprised to hear some "woohoo's!" when coming back down the mtn _________________ http://www.nysmtbseries.com/ |

I definitely "woohoo'd" a few times coming down! Made the second climb worth it. It was a lot more fun than I'd expected, especially hanging out, waiting for Doug to finish, so we could get our medals!!! Congrats to everyone who raced! |

Wow! That is a serious display of having your act together. My compliments to the organizers for having the results and pics up so fast, and congrats to Billy for 2nd in expert. He must be training in his sleep or something. I really wanted to do this one, but my wrist still isn't ready for prime time since my Windham crash. |

Who's doing the Woodstock All Terrain Challenge this Sunday 9/14?
From the course description, sounds like it's not too hard?
Course Info: "A lovely 6 mile loop consisting of short power climbs, swift descents, and fast winding single track!! This year we have a new course with sweet new terrain that will keep you grin' in !!! ( great single speed course by the way! )" |

I'll be there. That description is about right.

Nope, same course as last year...but including the Bump trail on the otherside of the stream. That description is from last year's race...

For the 2006 course, which is basically what it sounds like it is this year, I had 1:35 in the sport class, on my singlespeed. 3rd place.
In 2007, we stayed on the park side and did not cross the stream. Bill and I both had a time for sport of 1:10, on our geared. |

For what it's worth, I was running a 32x16 on my 26", and it was just fine. |
