|
|
Planning on doing a ride up at North Lake Sunday the 26th. Meet at 9:15, get on the trails 9:30 sharp. Plan on meeting on Scutt Rd. (the right right before the main entrance to North Lake. The parking lot is less than 100 yds on the right) Quite a bit of technical riding up there. Should be fun. We are pretty sure 23A will be opening this week. With that open , it will make it alot easier for us to get up there. _________________ greg

Sweet!! I love that place! Especially the a$$ kickin' right out of the parking lot!
I'll be sure to roust the Roundtop boys if you haven't, Greg. And actually, it comes to mind that we have crossed paths with hunters up there in the past; in fact I recently saw a photo of Rick Henry posted by Pedaler from that very day, if I'm not mistaken, which included a couple of hunters in the background.
Can anyone clarify our "Level of Risk"?? _________________ Ride Hard, Finish Smilin'! And may every ride be your "Best Ride Ever!" |

I'm not 100% sure with hunting at actual North and South Lakes. But I think those times we ran into hunters was when we strayed away from the actual park grounds. (heading over near the ledges, and towards Pallenville) _________________ greg

Any news on whether or not 23A is open yet? If not has anyone been up Platte Clove Rd. lately? Just wondering whether or not that is closed for the winter. I know it is technically closed between November and April but don't know if it is blocked. _________________ Ride like a grandma! |

No need for drive unless you have free time on your hands, Greg. I confirmed with a phone call- 23A is wide OPEN! - and Sweet! Sleepy said it was, and had interest in joining us, but has family in town and not likely he will.
Can't wait to be Johnny No-Dab on the a$$ kickin Horse Trail right off the parking lot (but I better not hold my breath!!).
Greg: I'll alert the Henry Brothers, but I don't have a number for Ian. Did you mention anything @ Roundtop ride Wed night? _________________ Ride Hard, Finish Smilin'! And may every ride be your "Best Ride Ever!" |

Sounds like I missed the best ride ever. I did ride Wilson this morning though. Conditions were great! Maybe we can get a group ride going next weekend again. |
