Does anyone know if there are good trails up there? (off of rt. 199)
I just came across a rough map of that area , 718 acres.
It seems like between there, Wilcox & possible Stissing there is potential for some killer Northern Dutchess trails.
Or are they already there and I just never found em?

There's alot of swamp there, little trail. Whats gotten my interest over the years is the possibility of Wilcox/Hicks Hill MUA/Stissing Mt. Ive been doing a twenty miler over that way for a few years (5 miles of road). Questionable access now as theres a new landowner I believe up on top of Stissing Ridge. I'd decided that any trail work that was done would soon become overgrown because there's not enough people around. Too bad, there's some great terrain there. Mr. Q used to take the RHS Mt. bike team(when there was a team) out that way a few years ago. |

Yeah, I need to check out some topo maps of that neck of the woods.
One time I did the Hike-a-Bike up the face of Stissing , fire tower, then cruised down the back way. and rode 82 back to Pine Plains.
That was fun , but it seemed like there must be some better routes.
I'll have to check it out more , one of these days.
