I have been without a trail/xc bike for the last couple of months after breaking my cassete at 909 then discovering that my thru-axle was bent when I tried to take the wheel of. A good beating with a sledge hammer and the axle is now out...the hub rebuilt and the cassette replaced. Now I just have to get a new axle from my buddy at Cannondale and I will have an XC bike to ride again!!

I got a PG950 because I don't have the $$ to drop on a 990 or 980.
I went to SRAM on this bike and have never looked back! Better than any Shimano stuff I have used! I have had the bike for 9 months and I have not once had to adjust the shifting, with my old XTR stuff I had to adjust it every other ride!!

More and more people that I know are switching to SRAM. Like you, everyone that has switched, is saying good things. I had two PG990's. One I was lucky enough to get the new red anodized style at the old price. Anyways, I bent both cassettes within a month. So I switched back to Shimanos XT which treats me fine. _________________ greg
