I know nost of the people on this forum are XC riders but right now the USA is killing it on the World Cup Downhill.
Aaron Gwin is amazing...First World Cup win for the USA in over a decade, then he wins the US-Open this past weekend (first USA rider to win). All the world cup races are streamed live online at Freecaster.tv and we have our own local race coming!
On top of that the local DH race scene is amazing right now. Tons and tons of kids at these races all with very supportive parents. Really great to watch!
More local Pro action: Ryan and Becky Gardner both had solid finishes in Pro class at the US-Open and local pro racer Jay Memelar who just signed with Intense came in with a 10th place finish against the top racers in the world!
It is a great time to be watching american DH racing!

Headed down to the US OPEN this year and it was awesome to see the best in the world and our local brother/sister Duo battle it out. If you've never been to the Red Bull rock garden at the US OPEN you are really missing out!
One of the World Cup races will be hosted at Windham again this year on July 10th. Don't miss it! |
