I didnt think of this til after the meeting. We'd talked about wanting to give new members something tangible, and we've got extra socks. How does the math work for sock handouts? Can we give the socks out instead of mailing them when new members show up to events/meetings?

I think we can definitely give socks out at meetings, rides, etc. If we can save on postage I think thats great. When I get time I'm going to have Bill put our current sock special on the homepage and see what kind of response we get. I'm sure we'll have some left over even after the "Great Sock Sale of '06". Then I was kind of thinking of using them as a hook to get new members. "The first 20 new members signed up in Januray get a free pair of designer socks!" or something along those lines.
