Our friends at the Wallkill Valley Land Trust have invited the Fats to build NEW SINGLETRACK in Rosendale at Joppenbergh Mountain. You might know Joppenburgh as the place with the rocky cliffs near the rail trail bridge in Rosendale. But there is a secret stash of singletrack waiting to be made.

Please come out Sat. Nov 9th from 9 AM to 1 PM to help build the first trail. It's going to be a fun beginner singletrack trail with some nice flow sections, views and wide open mature forest. And more trails are in the works.

Where: Meet at Willow Kiln park (that's the parking lot behind the Rosendale Theater).
When: Sat. Nov. 9th from 9 AM to 1 PM. Rain date or 2nd work day (if needed) will be Sat. Nov. 16th.
Who: You, your friends, family and kids. No dogs please.
What to bring: Water, snack, gloves, sturdy shoes, your favorite tool. We will have trail building tools also.

Hope to see you there!

Great - we hope to get a good turnout and get this new trail completed in one day.

Thanks to everyone that came out to build new trails at Joppenburg.

The new trails are open. You can find them by parking at Willow Kiln Park (behind the Rosendale Theater), go up the hill and stay right. There are 2 loops marked with temp arrows with total of about 1.5 miles. Trails are mostly gentle climbs up and down with dirt tread with few rocks.

It's a good add-on to the Rail Trail (about 0.5 miles away) or Larson Loop.

We had a great turnout - 20 people, 3 kids, victory pie and lots of awesome work. Thanks everyone, more to come in the future.
