|
|
Hi all.
Someone has taken it upon themselves to make their own trail markers at Jockey Hill.
While I can certainly appreciate your enthusiasm, please stop immediately.
I ask this because:
1) We have a good relationship with NYSDEC. Don't be "that guy" who throws it into a tail spin. At this time, the only official trails at Jockey is the double track access road, and the yellow (Wintergreen/Qman) and blue trail (KY is what people seem to be calling it). That be it.
2) These "Kneecap" markers were found on "Close to the Edge" Imagine a cyclist breaking their leg or worse, and someone having to direct emergency responders to "Kneecap" when they should be going to "Close to the Edge"
I ask that whoever is responsible for these to please stop, and go and take them all down.
On tonight's ride we took down the ones we found, but are there more and on other trails as well? We didn't have time to find out.
Official trail workdays at both Onteora Lake and Jockey Hill are on our calendar. Please join us.
