Awesome Craig!

I bet both Jockey and Onteora could use a little TLC...maybe Kevin can chime in as to where our efforts can best be used.

Also, feel free to adjust times/format if you'd like-thanks for taking the lead on this one!

I had a chance to scout some of Jockey yesterday. There are some soggy sections on the KY trail that could use some armoring as shown in the photos below. Also some deadfall here and there. There's a tree across the trail on the decent that's been there awhile with yellow caution tape that needs removal. The tree along with the tape Smile Also the rocks on the rotary could use some TLC.

I can't make the Onteora trail work day this weekend but would be happy to do another trailwork day there if needed.

Ah yea, I haven't been to Jockey yet this year.

I think we can find some stone for that wet section pretty easily.

Most of what I saw at Onteora this winter is minor trimming, I'm sure that the same goes for Jockey.

Thanks for leading Craig, I may be working but we'll see.

Onteora's got some pruning needed, especially Red.

For those interested in participating in the trail work day on Saturday April 15 at Jockey Hill we will be meeting in the usual jockey parking spot at 9:00am and working until 12:00pm. I am planning to ride up to the trail to the areas that need the most attention.

The main goal is to armor wet areas on the KY trail with rocks and also do some trimming and deadfall removal. If you have a hand pruner or a small handsaw please bring it with you.
