After using for over 78 million years, I'm donating my Jurassic bike lights to the Smithsonian and I'm going to enter the current era of riding at night.
Any one have good experience with lights that are out on the market these days?
I'd like something that is about 800 to 1,000 lumens that burns for about 2 hrs.
Extensive comparisons here: http://www.singletracks.com/blog/mtb-gear/the-10-best-bike-lights-for-night-riding/
But I'm still not sure what to get. What do you think? |

I can't say enough good for my Light and Motion Seca 2000. I always had struggles in twilight, until this light. Plus the wash creates less drop out.
They just came out with a Seca 2200 so the 2000 is going for less right now.
Made in America. I go out without a back up most of the time. Reliable light |

Bunch of the lippman crew run these lights. I've had mine for a number of years. quite bright, will easily run 3 hours at 1000ish lumins output. _________________ That's MR! Hank to you! |

I bought cheapo lights from Amazon...they have a hundred types, all LED.
The batteries need to be charged often and don't let them run all the way down, which shortens their life. I bought backup batteries too. SOOOO cheap compared to my old ones. There are better quality out there but I have quantity over quality...hah. _________________ Definition of Stinky: My gloves! |
