I've never been there and I'm planning on heading over there Sunday morning.

* How does it compare to Lippman?
* Any idea what the total mileage of the trails adds up to?
* Any chance there will be hunters on the land?

Thank you in advance! Jeremy

Hello,
Jockey hill is different than Lippman in that the trails are long and don't intersect often. You will be in some pretty remote areas. There are a lot of rocky sections but very manageable and fun. A few difficult climbs and descents but not crazy long. Its pretty well marked but not like Lippman. The terrain is similar to Round Top.
Yes, there could be bow hunters....it is bow season and its mostly state land so there might be some folks out there.

It's also small game season so guns loaded with birdshot are also a possibility. Hopefully everyone plays by the rules and hunters stay the required distances from trails but be extra safe - wear bright colors and consider strapping a bell to your bike.

There are probably 15 miles here - nickname is 'rocky jockey' but everything is rideable - mostly chunky. Have fun!

Thanks for the color. I had a hard time finding the trails but then I stumbled upon a long time Cats member, Tim, who showed me around. Unfortunately I was time crunched so I didn't get to explore as much as I wanted. I'll have to get back there soon.
