Raced Kittatinny Park this week for the first time in years. Beautiful day (no crazy heat or rain) and the course was in great shape for the 8 am start. This is the 2nd race of the H2H Endurance series (most are a 4 hr race format).
Felt good all day-used "Tailwind" nutrition for this first time based on the recommendation from Mr. Wall @ Overlook Cycles. Worked great-excited to have some more trials.
Ended up in 4th getting beat by three dudes that completed 7 laps to my 6...they were fast. Course was an excellent mix of stewart and 909ish. Thanks Bulldog/Cycle Craft!
Next endurance is 909!

I've been using the Tailwind this year and I prefer over the Hammer products where one is supposed to take electrolyte tablets in addition to hydration product. I've mixed ~ 2.5 scoops per 24oz for longer rides. In addition, I have taken pre-measured Tailwind so that I could buy more water during the ride. So far, it has worked well up to 6+ hours on the bike. |
