|
|
As I am now the proud owner of a "project" tandem I thought I might start by searching everyones basement for used parts. Here's a little list of what I am in need of:
Rear wheel, 26"
Brakes, canti's or V type
shifters, 7 or 8 speed compatable
front and rear derailleurs
Of course I'm looking to do this on the cheap so don't be offended if I'm not interested in your used XTR shtuff.
Okay, start searching!!
Thanks. |

I have a few front derailleurs kicking around. Any idea what the tube diameter is? |

Ray ,I have a set of xt /mavic 515 non disc wheels . good shape but funky yellow on rims . may part with my avid ultimate v brakes too . these would be perfect . they are very powerful for v brakes . I need some hydraulic discs for my new used hardtail . Kevin has some maybe we can work out a conveluted trade . I am open to ideas . Harry |

Hi Harry. I'm not sure how a three way trade might work out as I was never very good at math. Sounds like your XT wheels might be a bit too good for this bike anyway. I would however be interested in the v brakes if the swaparooni could work out, or even cashola if the price was right.
Thanks,
Ray |

Ray , I think I will hold onto the brakes for now . I just ordered a BOB trailer and might need the extra stopping power. See ya on Sunday. H |
