After you get your volunteering on Saturday at the bike swap, maybe try this one on for Sunday!

Finishers get Howlers, nice shirt, and some pints! There will even be food trucks! Not bad for 40 bucks

IN.

Rolling on my epic.

Looks like a fun race, altho I don't have a 'cross bike, and closest I have to hardtail is my SS rigid. I'll have to think about giving it a go though on the SS just for the fun of it.

Dang. That was tough and super pretty. 66 miles and 6600 ft of climbing. 90 percent was on dirt-prob 5 miles or so of good single track (harvey and beebe hill).

I finished in 5:20ish...hung with some cross riders off and on. Great loop, excellent markings, super aid stations, and solid support. Although not race, people were working hard for sure.

Chatham brew at finish=yum.

fun and very challenging! even without pressure of racing, people were definitely pushing. riding my epic f/s was not a bad choice...i was able to spin up some steep climbs that the cx people were walking and could rail on the singletrack that they had to tiptoe over. finished in 6:12...weeeeeeeeee!!!

yes, that was tough but challenging.something different and saw some people from our area.lot's of lilac bushes made for great fragrances during the ride.
If i go back i'd ride a hardtail MTB , the cross bike was overgeared, and kind of unstable on the the rougher descents as i went over the bars near the end
on some washboard ripples , well run event though , didn;t need the cue sheet once.
