Guess what I found today behind my snow blower and shovels...a single speed!
Looking forward to riding in the sun...maybe even a few moments of racing. _________________ If I can bicycle, I bicycle.

Well that was...fun! Things turned out better than I expected-my race and trail conditions. Rather than simply survive, I was able to put out some effort for the entire race to finish at 2:29 which was good enough for 44th in open men and overall.
1st place=2:07
DFL= 4:09
Excellent way to ring in spring with some mud, bike folk, and beer!

Sounds like it was a good time! Anyone have the GPS course? I unfortunately missed out on the registration, but I'd like to ride the course (was sick all weekend, so couldn't preride). _________________ Studies have shown that riding a bicycle everyday makes you more awesome than the general population. |

I don't think it would be hard to follow the trail since we burned it in pretty good. I would download a map just to make sure though. IMHO It was a better course than year(s) past. _________________ I like big bikes and I can not lie. |

I wouldn't mid hitting it again on my 29+ singlespeed (I raced fatbike)to see what that would have felt like. I think I might be too busy and just hit the 909 instead. _________________ I like big bikes and I can not lie. |

I was thinking of hitting it with the 29'er SS this weekend for the fun of it and seeing how much pain I missed out on. _________________ Studies have shown that riding a bicycle everyday makes you more awesome than the general population. |

YEs! I was really feeling it mile 15, then realized i have another 15! I had someone make a play for my 2nd spot on the final climb. I got on his wheel, waited until the top and then put the hammer down! was able to pull almost a minute between us by the end. _________________ I like big bikes and I can not lie. |

Hey Chrissy, thanks for the reply! I'm not a premium member on Strava, so I can't download. I'm going to see if I can find a premium member who can download and send to me. Thanks for posting it up! I saw Jamie last Saturday at 909 and he told me about both you guys racing. Congrats on your finish though! I would've been in the back of the pack myself. _________________ Studies have shown that riding a bicycle everyday makes you more awesome than the general population. |
