I have been hitting the Lake Taghkanic trails- not so great as summer trails (ripe for future development) but pretty fun winter biking. I have been hitting it fatbike without studs and been able to ride a 2 hour 10 mile grind.
So if your trails are totally iced, might try to give it a go...
It was better yesterday since the cold nights have hardened things up- it needs a few warm days and cold nights to get it hard enough for a reg, skinny so I don't think you'll enjoy yourself if you are riding non-fat.
There is I think 2000 acres ready for sweet single track... Tim? _________________ I like big bikes and I can not lie. |

Snowmobiles (snow machines if you live points north) have burned in the south side of the park (south of the road that cuts from Taconic across to rt 82)I don't think for some reason they hit the north side. There are about an hour worth the of groomed trails if you have a fatbike. The north side might be rideable depending on snow drifts. I rode the south before the snowmobiles and it was mixed rideable and hiking. _________________ I like big bikes and I can not lie. |
