Illinois mountain is in great shape and you've probably never ridden there! The yellow trail is brand new and needs to be ridden in...let's go! I'm planning to be there tomorrow (Friday 9/19) at 4:00 to ride all the trails. There's some serious climbing, I wouldn't recommend a singlespeed.

folks, if you are in the highland area, you must check out illinois. it's a great spot to ride for a couple of hours, it challenging and a lot of fun. Our friend pedaler845 did some sweet trail design and building, taking a steep mountainside and finding the most enjoyable route around it.

Hi all...is there any hope of legalizing the connecting trail off of the railtrail to the park? I've ridden from the Poughkeepsie side and up the mt to the trail system and back and it would be great to have that legal. Embarassed Embarassed Laughing

There are plans for that, but how far in the future it would happen is up to the Town of Lloyd.

Same thing with the "No Trespassing" signs at the gate.

Both of these important elements have been stuck for years with no solution in sight.

There were lots of leaves on the yellow the other night that made it pretty tough to follow...cool, thanks Tim!
