I broke the arch on the lower leg assembly of my fork today. Any idea how much I should expect to have it fixed including labor at my LBS? It's an older Fox Float 32 29er open bath fork. (1 1/8", 9mm QR)
Part of me wants it to be more than a few hundred bucks so I can justify getting a new fork. The other part of me doesn't want to explain to my wife why I have to spend so much money to fix this bike when I have 2 other bikes in the garage.

Oh I think it's going to be new fork time. Infact why put $ into an old bike that broke? I think you need a 100% new bike...

Agreed, definitely get a new bike. Get a new credit card so your wife doesn't see the bill.

Very Happy

Thanks for the input, guys. I was planning on riding at Minnewaska on Saturday morning. I'll check out the swap on my way back through.

Hey Jesse, I have a Fox 32 lower from a 2010 Talas 140. Not sure if it will work with a 29er. Also there is a 2012 lower on Pink Bike for $100. I rebuild fox forks on my spare time too. Just got in my new shipment of 10wt and float fluid too.
