I am looking to purchase some and would like some input on the matter. I have found 661 to be popular as well as Fox. Anyone have some Pro's and Con's? Thanks!

I have some 661 knee pads...the soft ones that firm up on impact...i rarely wear them...sometimes if I remember I'll wear them at Blue...they are as comfy as you could hope for...

I would sell them to you, since I haven't used them in over a year, so I guess they aren't doing me any good!

After almost breaking my kneecap years ago I started wearing kneepads while riding, all seasons.
Just look up how your riding will be affected if you suffer that injury, it's not good.
Out of the many pairs I've had and worn out, 661 has always been a good brand.
My favorites so far are my current ones, the 661 Evo Knee pads.

Whatever brand you try out, go to the company's website for the proper sizing info or go to a shop and try them on.
Most feel a little tight the first few rides, then break in.
The plus side is they keep you knees warm in the colder months and you can wear shorts through the Winter.

Yes, they are hotter in the Summer than no pads, but I don't really notice it.

I can't afford to take time off recovering from an injury, and ER visits aren't fun either, so the cost of the pads are worth it.

Thanks GG, what size do you have? I totally understand you FB, I cracked a rib in hockey and the first thing I thought about was my job. Luckily I had a few days to get used to the pain and just dealt with it. I looked at the knee/shin combo and was thinking that would be a bit overboard for now. Thanks for the help!
